Crime Desk - Alert

E-mail Print PDF

Police have issued an alert concerning rural premises in the south of Warwickshire.

At 01:25, this morning, [Thursday 29th July] the fire service attended Sambourne Hill Farm, Sambourne where they dealt with a hay barn fire.

It is reported that recently there have been a number of other fires in this area.

A Peugeot 306 was seen in the area at the time which may or may not be connected.

Between 4.30pm yesterday afternoon and 06:30 this morning 60 litres of diesel were stolen from a vehicle parked in the compound of a business in Old Budbrooke Raod, Hampton Magna.

Sometime between 17:00 on the 26th and 08:00 on the 28th of July offenders forced their way into a barn at a rural premises in Cut Throat Lane, Hockley Heath and stole three generators.

Probably entirely unrelated is the fact that 'Travellers' have moved onto private land in Harbury Lane, Heathcote Near Leamington Spa.
They have 'intimated' that they will move on on Sunday 1st August 2010.
